A Bad Case of Stripes written and illustrated by David Shannon

The school librarian I am doing my field experience with read this to a class.  These eye catching illustrations are sure to hold a kid’s attention.  This is a story that will tickle young children and older ones can learn from.  Camilla Cream is getting ready to go to school and suddenly comes down with a bad case of the stripes and it just continues to get worse.  An adult can see it coming because the illness makes Camilla stick out like a sore thumb but even when she becomes a part of the room she still refuses to admit her “shameful” love of lima beans.  The cure is to simply be herself.
